How Lyn got Here!
Lyn always knew there was something more waiting for her in life. Growing up in the 70’s, she realized she wanted to know more about Spirit. Unfortunately, information on this subject was hard to find and she was left searching and unsatisifed.
Fast forward to 2008. A random stop at an open house event at “The Sanctuary” in St. Norbert catapulted her on a new journey. It was here that she had her first flame reading. Lyn found her reading absolutely fascinating and she realized that she could easily see all the images that her reader spoke about. From chatting with the reader, she found out that ony regular paper and regular candles were required. Lyn wondered how this seemingly chance encounter at an open house could make her feel so intrigued. She asked the reader if she offered classes, however this reader told her that she was moving to Edmonton in the morning. Lyn wouldn’t be able to learn anything more about this.
As Lyn was driving home, she wondered how this chance happening triggered something within her. She was quite sad at finding this opportunity and then not being able to make it work for herself. This experience was so unique that she felt driven to find out more. Once at home, she searched the internet for information on flame readings but found nothing. There really wasn’t any information on this specific type of reading. She wondered if she could do a flame reading for herself. Could it work? Sure enough, Lyn found that she could make out the symbols but wasn’t sure how to interpret what she saw. Now she felt pulled to research tea cup meanings and went to a workshop. This class moved Lyn into feeling comfortable enough to try flame readings for her family, friends and neighbors. Soon Lyn was getting very positive feedback on how things that she had predicted were now becoming real!! Along with the flame readings, Lyn also found that she had a gift in psychometry. At the end of each flame reading Lyn would hold an article belonging to the client to provide further information to her flame reading. This would result in a unique spirit message meant specifically for that client. Lyn also found that as she progressed with her flame reading skills, she also had come to experience a kind of “knowing” of information coming thru her right ear. It really wasn’t a voice that she heard, but more of a clear understanding/knowing” moments and thoughts which she would then quickly pass on as messages to her clients at the end of the reading. Lyn really didn’t know how or why this infomation was coming to her but she knew deep in her soul that this information she received was meant for her client and that she had a responsibility to pass this infomation on. She quickly realized that she had been blessed with a gift and found this knowing to be a strong component of her flame readings.
In January 2009, Lyn started to read at home parties, small local events, “Ladies Day Out”, “Valentines Womens Day” and various psychic fairs. It was at one of these fairs that she met a gifted medium from Ontario, who also did flame readings. This lady watched Lyn perform some if her flame readings and asked if she would like to read for the “Muddy Waters Spirit Conference” which was a yearly event held at the Fort Garry Hotel. As a result, Lyn had been invited back to this event since 2009. Lyn has also participated in the “Winnipeg Body, Mind and Spirit Show in 2011 and 2012, which was held annually in Winnipeg. She has also participated in the “Kenora Body Mind and Spirit Show in the spring of 2012, 2015 and 2016. Lyn also participated in one of the “Muddy Waters Spirit Conferences” in 2012 and it was there that Lyn met Bernice, the owner of the “Soul Medicine Shoppe”. Lyn was then invited to be a reader at the Shoppe and the rest is history. Lyn has also been a reader at Radiance Gifts. You will find Lyn at many different events in the Winnipeg/Manitoba/Kenora areas.
What a wonderful Adventure! To date, (2024) Lyn has already performed well over 2800 readings since 2009. Lyn absolutely loves her work! Each reading is a unique experience, one that her clients won’t soon forget!

Spirit Seekers hold conference in city
By: Bill RedekopPosted:
Not really, but who knows what you’ll find out at the third annual Spirit Seekers Canada Conference that continues today at the Fort Garry Hotel.
Admittance is $5 and a reading is $30. Sixteen mediums are standing by like pledge takers at a telethon. Half the proceeds go to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
The conference includes guest speakers and workshops, as well as retail booths with folks hocking spirit-pleasing items like colourful stones, crystals, scents and oils.
Mostly women were in attendance. As for spirits, it’s thought to be about half and half.
The thing about spirits, as one ascertains from talking to the mediums, is the child-like means by which they try to communicate with us.
From the gibberish of speaking in tongues, to ectoplasm bubbling snot-like out of facial orifices, to playing cards of people dressed in medieval costume, to tantrum-like rattling of tables at seances, spirits tend to act out badly.
Now it’s been determined they also like to muck around in soot.
Reading soot is the expertise of Lyn Woligroski of Dugald.
It’s actually called “flame reading” because it sounds better but really mediums like Woligroski read the trails of soot after a piece of paper is run back and forth over a candle.
It’s only been around the past 30 to 40 years, she said.
My soot looked like rows of sausages and balloon animals.
Woligroski determined I would reach a new level of spirituality in three to four months, changes are coming that I won’t be happy about, and “you’re in a tunnel or tornado of thinking all the time.”
She read the soot from a female customer and saw the head of a funny little bird. That told her good news was coming in five months, said Woligroski, who had bright orange nail polish and seven rings on her fingers. (She’s been told she was an Inca warrior in another life.)
Some other snippets from Woligroski’s reading with the woman was she would get together with her girlfriends in about four months, there would be news of someone she knows having a baby in two weeks, and she was in the throes of a difficult decision. “I see a knot. Something’s twisting you in a knot.”
“Yes! Yes!” the woman replied.
“It’s not me talking. It’s coming from the spirits,” Woligroski explained later.
Her business name is Flame Reading by Lyn. “When I start to see a picture, I start to get little messages. It’s like a little person is reading me a script of what to say.”
It’s all in fun and mediums and participants at the conference are amazingly cheerful (in good spirits?), and amazingly self-possessed, considering their interest has many skeptics.
Conferences include guest speakers and workshops on topics like, Is Your Loved One Trying to Communicate? by medium Donna Elliott — a light going on and off is one of their ways to get your attention — and Past and Future Lives.
